Cup cakes

Cup cakes still seem to be very much in fashion at all kinds of events. These were from a recent engagement party. These were firm and moist with a lovely butter icing.

They really tasted different to the 'fairy cakes' I used to make for the boys.

They really are an easy way to serve portions of cake/desert in the simplest form.
I have across them in many sizes from giant to mini sizes.

  1. Sandra have you come across cupcake sandwiches? Just found them last night. Seems that you can buy a baking tray that is for cup cakes, but shallow, so that only tops are cooked! You sandwich the 2 together with that butter icing or something similar. Top of cake, the glue and then the next cake is put on upside down so that all is in proportion.
