The main window
I bought some crackers and artichoke pate. Lots of lovely treat and gifts. Flowers also. Even simple things like bicarbonate of soda, along with very good milk etc. Feel I want to buy something each week so that they stay and prosper.
This tea set was bought at a disposal store in Cannon Hill. They stocked lots of merchandise that belonged to Ansett. These cups and saucers were obviously from 1st class. Fine bone china with dark blue and gold rims. Purchased for about $10. Really lovely to drink from as the china is so thin.
I have a few new acquisitions in my home. Just small things but they are giving me much pleasure.
The lovely pattern on the plate
The plate looks lovely on my coffee table. I also found 2 little brown pottery pots that match the colour in the border. Even though the nasturtiums are suffering from the lack of rain, I found a few to to add the the right touch of cheery colour.
I have never made a sour cream cake before. I found the recipe in an old Women's Weekly cook book specialising in cakes. The recipe said a 27" round tin but I didn't have one. Did have 2 matching loaf tins though.
